Before I seriously record our adventures this Christmas, I have to say onething about reading some of the blogs out there! They are seriously, too sickly sweet, maybe too phony concerning life and my daugher hooked me up to the blog called seriouslysoblessed.blogspot.com http:// whose blog is a satire on those who write "my life is so wonderful" bit! Honestly, I LOVE real people, who speak refreshingly honest and give us all hope and reassurance we are doing okay. I have even found myself being alittle too too. So my New's Year's Blog resolution will be of one thing, "Get Real"! In fact I am going to change my blog to "Get Real" not Out to lunch anymore! I am really sick of this everything is just wonderful and they don't have problems they don't face problems nor do they solve problems. Let's just all be "happy" ;and get along, but let's not admit we are wrong, or try to resolve things or anything like that. I have to say right here, I am very grateful for my children who are real, honest, straight forward, problem solving people! Whose words mean a lot to me as THEY write! So refreshing!!!

I think that's why the seriously so blessed blog is so genious. We can all see a little of ourselves in it, but it helps me to realize how silly I am sometimes. Some blogs are nauseatingly perfect and sweet, though, I agree. And I usually don't return to read those ones, anyway.
I'm with you. I always felt like I had to be this way until my cousin bled her heart out on her blog. I've become much more real since then. I hopped over from Lara's blog. Happy birthday!
I have never been on your site, but I LOVE what you just wrote. I'll be coming back. Lara sent me over Happy Birthday!!!
Happy birthday
HAPPY BIRTHDAY,
Happy,
Happy,
birthday to you
{disney style} -- imagine me in a Snow White costume singing this to you. :)
And That is one problem my blog has never had.
Boring, yes. Sickley sweet. No.
Well, First things First...Happy Birthday! (yes, Lara put me up to it). But secondly, I second your opinion! Blogging has become a huge image-management tool for those who are just trying to convince themselves that everything is alright. Its pretty funny to compare the blogs to the real-lives of the people you know "in person"...I could go on and on about this, but this is YOUR blog and I'm looking forward to returning!
Hopped over from Lara's blog and....HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!
I agree--I try to be as honest as possible on my blog. I blog about the ups and the downs because, well, it's honest and truthful, and it's me.
Always good wisdom and insight from Queen Deni! You are a wise and beautiful woman and I hope you have a wonderful Birthday today!
Love, Anne-Marie
First of all - Happy Birthday!!! Although you don't know me at all, you are an important part of my life - I record your yoga classes on BYUTV (in Colorado), and I LOVE them. Thanks for the enormous blessing you are in my life. Lara and I are friends from the music program at BYU, and I've even incorporated techniques and ideas learned from your classes with my singing students. You're amazing!
I love the sentiments in your post. I think it's important to be real, too. My last blog post was about our family spent our entire Christmas vacation throwing up and spreading it to our whole family. I think it was real. I also believe that it's important to be positive, too, though, and try to find the blessings in the difficulties. Whining doesn't do me a lot of good, and I don't think anyone else wants to hear it, either. So, it seems to be a fine line, doesn't it? We want to be real, but also find the good in the bad. I'd love to hear more of your thoughts on it!
Happy Birthday!!!
It's me, Carolyn from Lara's AZ ward back in ASU campus. The little Filipino girl. My birthday was yesterday!

I'm glad you haven't visited my blog, you may think mine is sickly sweet; I've tried to focus on what's good about life this year, because I know my life is so far from being perfect. I didn't want to lose sight on what's good about it. ;P
I didn't know that you're a fitness instructor, a famous one at that. That's awesome! I'll definitely be visiting your blog more.
Happy Birthday. Came over from Lara's page. Hope you have a blessed one and a Happy New Year!
Happy belated birthday to you! I live in Cedar near Lara and we have become great friends.
And thanks for this reminder that I can and need to be myself on my blog, and not some fake happy all the time version. Thank you!
